How accessible this website is, how we test it, and what to do if any part of it does not work for you.

What this covers

This statement applies to treeviewdesigns.co.uk, the website of Tree View Designs Ltd. It does not cover the NHS GP practice websites we build and host for our clients: each of those has its own accessibility statement, published on that practice’s own site.

Tree View Designs Ltd is a private company, so the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018 do not apply to this website directly — they apply to the NHS organisations we build for. We meet the same standard here anyway, because it is the standard we build to for our clients and we do not think it would be credible to hold ourselves to less. The Equality Act 2010 does apply to us as a service provider, and we take our duty to make reasonable adjustments seriously.

How accessible this site is

We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. That means you should be able to:

Navigate the whole site using a keyboard alone, with a clearly visible focus indicator at every step
Use a screen reader, including the most recent versions of VoiceOver, NVDA and JAWS
Zoom to 400% or increase text size without content overlapping or being cut off
Read every piece of text at a contrast ratio that meets WCAG 2.2 AA
Turn off animation, which we honour through your operating system's reduce-motion setting
Understand every image through descriptive alternative text

Compliance status

This website is fully compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at level AA, as at our most recent audit on 24 July 2026.

We state a date alongside that claim deliberately. A compliance statement with no date behind it tells you nothing: a site can drift out of conformance the moment a colour or component changes. Section 5 lists what our most recent audit found and what we did about it.

How we tested it

This website was last tested on 24 July 2026. Testing was carried out internally by the Tree View Designs development team, covering every page listed in our sitemap, using:

Measured colour contrast

Every foreground and background pairing computed against the WCAG 2.2 AA thresholds, with the large-text exemption applied where it genuinely applies, rather than judged by eye.

Manual keyboard testing

Every interactive component operated with a keyboard alone, checking focus order, focus visibility and that nothing hidden remains focusable.

Automated rule checking

Landmark structure, heading order, form label association, image alternatives and ARIA usage across the whole site.

Server-rendered markup review

Checking the page structure that reaches a browser before any JavaScript runs, which is also what assistive technology and search engines receive.

We build on our own platform, with no WordPress, no plugins and no third-party themes, so every line of markup on this site is ours to fix. Accessibility here never depends on whether a plugin author has kept their component up to date.

Non-accessible content

We are not currently aware of any content on this website that fails to meet WCAG 2.2 AA.

Our July 2026 audit did identify issues, and we are listing them here with their resolution rather than removing them from the record. All were corrected on 26 July 2026:

Our brand amber did not have enough contrast against light backgrounds, measuring 2.15:1 where 4.5:1 is required.	1.4.3 Contrast (Minimum)	Darkened to a tone that measures 4.62:1 on the same background, keeping the brand recognisable.

Section labels above headings measured 3.05:1.	1.4.3 Contrast (Minimum)	Strengthened to 5.60:1 across every page.
The side navigation rail stayed reachable by keyboard while it was visually hidden, placing invisible controls at the start of the tab order on wide screens.	2.4.3 Focus Order	The rail is now removed from the focus order and the accessibility tree whenever it is hidden.

There is no content on this website that we are claiming as a disproportionate burden, and none that falls outside the scope of the accessibility regulations.

What we are doing next

We re-test this website after any significant design change, rather than relying on a single point-in-time audit, and we re-audit it in full at least once a year. Accessibility checks form part of how we review changes before they go live, and colour contrast is checked at the point a colour is chosen rather than after a page is built.

If you report a problem to us, we will tell you what we have found and when we expect to have it fixed, and we will add it to the table above until it is resolved.

If you contact us with a complaint and you are not happy with our response, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS), which provides free advice on discrimination and human rights issues.

The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for enforcing the Equality Act 2010, and for enforcing the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018 in England, Scotland and Wales where those regulations apply.
