What we check

Six areas. The standards that actually apply.

Not a generic SEO scan — an audit built specifically around what NHS GP practice websites are required and expected to do.

How it works

A person runs it. A person sends it.

01

Tell us where to look

Fill in the short form below — your practice, your website address, and where to send the report. Takes about a minute.

02

A person reviews and runs it

Every request is checked by a member of our team before the audit runs. The audit itself loads your public site in a real browser — politely and rate-limited — and takes about 15 minutes.

03

Your report lands in your inbox

Within one working day you'll receive a secure private link and a PDF — headline grades, the key problems in plain English, and what each one means for your patients.

The comparison

Your site, side by side with one of ours

Every report ends with a like-for-like comparison: your current site’s results next to a live site we built — audited with the same engine, the same day. Real data, labelled as exactly that.

  • List of practice staff GP BENCHMARKING

Add a profile entry for every clinical staff member — name, role and qualifications.

  • Buttons must have discernible text ACCESSIBILITY

Screen-reader users can't tell what these buttons do.

  • Privacy notice reads at age 18.6 READING AGE

  • Performance score 54/100 LIGHTHOUSE

Below the "good" threshold — worth a closer look at image sizes.

  • 10 broken links found LINK HEALTH

The out-of-hours page links to a service that no longer exists.

+ 8 more findings in the full report

Every finding in plain English, ordered by patient impact.

Example pages from a report on our demo practice — no real surgery’s data.

If we can’t verify it, we don’t report it.

Unverified findings are excluded

Anything the audit can't confirm is marked "needs review" and left out of your scores entirely. We don't guess, and we don't pad.

"Broken" means confirmed broken

A link only counts as broken when we've confirmed it's dead. Timeouts and unreachable pages are listed separately, clearly labelled.

Real comparison, real data

The side-by-side at the end of your report compares your site against a live site we built — audited with the same engine, labelled as exactly that.

Questions

Before you ask

Is it really free?

Yes — free and no obligation. We build websites for NHS GP practices, and we think the clearest way to show the difference is to show you exactly where your current site stands. What you do with the report is up to you.

Do you need access to our website or any logins?

No. The audit only examines the publicly available pages of your website — the same pages your patients see. We never need logins, admin access, or anything from your current provider.

We're in Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland — does this work for us?

Mostly, yes. The NHS England benchmarking section doesn't apply outside England, so your report won't include it — but the other five areas (reading age, accessibility, performance, link health and security) apply everywhere.

What happens to the details we submit?

We use them to run your audit and email you the report — that's it. We won't add you to a marketing list unless you tick the separate opt-in box, and we keep audit requests for 12 months before deleting them. Our Privacy Notice has the full detail.

How long does it take?

The audit itself takes about 15 minutes, but every submission is reviewed by a person before it runs — so we promise your report within one working day of your request.
