Cookie Policy.

Every cookie this website sets, what each one does, how long it lasts, and how to change your mind.

Effective 17 July 2026 Analytics only with consent No advertising cookies

This policy at a glance

A very short list

This site sets three cookies and one browser storage key. The full inventory is below, with nothing omitted.

Essential means essential

Two cookies exist purely so the site works securely. They identify a browsing session, never a person.

Analytics is your choice

Google Analytics runs only if you accept it in the banner. Decline, and no analytics code loads at all.

No advertising or tracking

No advertising networks, no cross-site tracking, no social media pixels. Not now, not planned.

Stricter than the law requires

Since February 2026 UK law permits some analytics on an opt-out basis. We still ask for your consent first.

Easy to change your mind

Your choice can be reversed at any time; section 4 explains exactly how.

1

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser so it can remember something between pages or visits: that a form belongs to you, that your session is secure, or a preference you chose. Websites can also use the browser’s local storage for the same kinds of purpose, and the same rules apply to it. This policy covers both, and lists everything this site uses.

2

This is the complete inventory. If it isn’t in this table, this website doesn’t set it.

Name Type Purpose Lasts
XSRF-TOKEN Essential Security. Proves that forms you submit really came from you and not a malicious site (cross-site request forgery protection). 2 hours
treeviewdesigns_session Essential Identifies your browsing session so pages and forms work correctly. If you arrived via a marketing campaign link, the same session identifier lets us count that campaign's enquiries, as described in our privacy notice. It never identifies you personally. 2 hours
cookie-consent Essential storage Remembers the choice you made in the cookie banner, so we don't ask you on every visit. Held in your browser's local storage rather than a cookie. Until you clear it
_ga and _ga_* Analytics Google Analytics. Distinguishes visitors and sessions so we can see how the site is used in aggregate. Set only after you accept analytics in the banner. Up to 2 years

No advertising cookies, no social media pixels, no cross-site tracking, and nothing from third parties except Google Analytics, which only runs with your consent.

3

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used in aggregate: which pages are read, how visitors move between them, and which content is useful. We use it to improve the site, not to identify anyone.

The analytics code does not exist on the page until you accept it. If you decline, or simply ignore the banner, the Google Analytics script is never loaded and no analytics cookies are set. The site works identically either way. How analytics data is handled, including the safeguards applied to any transfer outside the UK, is described in our privacy notice.

4

When you first visit

The cookie banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Essential cookies are always set, because the site cannot function securely without them; that is why the banner has no toggle for them.

Changing your mind

Clear this site’s cookies and site data in your browser settings and the banner will ask again on your next visit. Deleting the site’s cookies also removes the analytics cookies immediately.

Browser controls

Every modern browser lets you view, block, and delete cookies per site. Blocking this site’s essential cookies will stop forms and secure pages from working, so we recommend leaving those in place.

5

Cookies in the UK are governed by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (Regulation 6) alongside UK GDPR. The rules were updated in February 2026: strictly necessary cookies need no consent, and limited statistical and appearance cookies may now run on a clear-information and opt-out basis.

Our approach is deliberately stricter than that minimum: analytics on this site remains consent-first. Nothing measures your visit unless you have said yes.

6

If we add, remove, or change a cookie, we update the table above and the date below before the change takes effect. Questions about this policy or how we handle personal data are covered in our privacy notice, or you can reach us via the contact form.
