Meet the Team: Adrian Terry — Our Support Manager

Introduction

Adrian joined the Tree View Designs team in February 2020, bringing with him an unstoppable curiosity and a skill set as versatile as a Swiss army knife. Since day one, he’s become our go-to expert for just about everything, tackling challenges with creativity, insight, and a touch of unconventional brilliance. With a mind that zips around like a pinball machine, thanks to his ADHD and autistic quirk, Adrian approaches problems from unique angles, making him an invaluable asset to our team and the people we support.

Role at Tree View Designs

As Support Manager, Adrian leads the team that fields the questions, fixes, and fast-turnaround changes our practices rely on every day. Tree View Designs handles 40,000+ support tickets a year between us, and Adrian is the person who keeps that machine running — triaging, escalating where it needs a developer, and stepping in himself on the trickier ones.

What makes Adrian particularly good at this is the same thing that makes him the team’s favourite person to ask “have you got a sec?” — he holds an enormous amount of context about our platform in his head, and his neurodivergence isn’t something he works around, it’s something he uses. He spots patterns across tickets that a more linear thinker would miss, pivots between unrelated problems without losing thread, and goes deep on a single tricky issue until it’s properly understood rather than papered over.

Background

Adrian hasn’t always been glued to his desk. He’s been both the spotlight-stealing diva and the behind-the-scenes wizard, effortlessly switching roles depending on the day, or the project. With a flair for the creative and a natural command of tech, Adrian bridges the gap between imagination and implementation. In fact, speaking the language of technology comes more naturally to him than tying his shoelaces (and we’re only half joking).

That dual creative-and-technical streak shows up in how he handles support work too. A practice manager describing a problem in non-technical terms is something Adrian decodes naturally, and explaining the fix back in plain English — without the jargon support engineers often default to — is one of his quiet superpowers.

Fun Facts

Adrian pirouetted his way into performing with the Birmingham Royal Ballet, despite dance training being limited to learning one comedic tap routine — proof that with enough confidence (and maybe a touch of chaos), anything is possible.

Favourite Hobby / Favourite Quote

When he’s not solving support puzzles, Adrian can be found tinkering with tech, getting lost in science fiction, immersing himself in theatre and music — or belting out old-school Touch Songs like he’s auditioning for the next big thing on Broadway!
